Xiaomi unveils all-new Youth Edition of wireless earphones with true wireless stereo (TWS) technology

Xiaomi has unveiled its all-new Youth Edition of truly wireless earphones with the name Mi AirDots. The new wireless earpieces by the Chinese giant is designed with Bluetooth v5.0 support. Each earbud of Mi AirDots has a dedicated touch zone that is capable of performing actions such as play or pause music, enable or disable voice assistant, or answer or reject a call using your finger.

The Mi AirDots have true wireless stereo (TWS) technology similar to AirPods. TWS splits audio in both earbuds to deliver a truly wireless experience.

With 7.2mm audio drivers, the earbuds are designed to produce deep bass and high-quality stereo audio. The touch zone in the Mi AirDots is designed to perform all essential functions thus ruling out the need for physical buttons. Touch Zone will let you work with a voice assistant, play or pause music, or attend or reject a voice call without the need for physical buttons. Users can even mute the ongoing voice call without using your connected phone by just touching the earbuds.

Mi AirDots comes with the latest Bluetooth connectivity in the market. With Bluetooth v5.0 support, it can work with devices having Bluetooth v4.2 or older connectivity options. Bluetooth v5.0 consumes less power as compared to the previous versions, and it also offers a more extended operating range with lesser impact from Wi-Fi signals.

The Mi AirDots Youth Edition does not require any external charging source to charge the device as it comes with an additional charging case. Users can place the earphones in the case to charge them which provides 12 hours of power. With two modes, stereo mode and mono mode, the Mi AirDots Youth Edition earphones will provide a playback time of four hours and five hours respectively on a single charge.

In China, the earphones are available for pre-orders at CNY 199 (roughly Rs. 2,100), while the actual sale will commence from November 11 through Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, Tmall, Jingdong, and Suning.
