WhatsApp to come up with three new features; Vacation Mode, Linked Accounts and Silent Mode

WhatsApp is nowadays working on three new features of the application to improve the user experience and make WhatsApp more user-friendly than before. As per the Reports from WABetaInfo, three new features will soon rule the Facebook-owned WhatsApp. These features are Vacation mode, silent mode and an option to link accounts. All these new features will be available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone mobile platforms in the coming days, said reports.

Vacation Mode:

Whenever you receive a message on the messenger, a chat automatically gets unarchived by WhatsApp. But switching ‘on’ the all-new Vacation Mode will allow users to stop archived chats from reappearing even if they are muted. As per the reports by WABetaInfo, this unique feature is still under the development.

Silent Mode:

This is one of the three latest features of the WhatsApp which is already live on the Android mobile platform. The Silent Mode in the Facebook-owned WhatsApp allows users to hide the app badge for muted chats. As per the reports, the feature comes auto-enabled and there won’t be an option for the users to enable or disable it manually. The Silent Mode is necessarily an upgrade to the Mute function.

Linked Accounts:

The last but not the least feature on which the work is under progress is the Linked Accounts. The firm is working on the feature which will provide an option to link external services like Instagram to the WhatsApp account of the users. This feature will be located under the  Profile Settings and will be suitable for WhatsApp Business. Though there is news which says that the feature might be available for the regular app as well.

“The feature appears mainly developed for WhatsApp Business, but some references were found in the normal WhatsApp app too. It’s not available yet for both apps”, says WABetaInfo. The purpose of having a “Linked Accounts” option is still unknown.
