San Francisco: Recently, several users of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in the US reported the camera freezing issue on the smartphone. After receiving the complaints about the pen-focused flagship Galaxy Note 9, South Korean tech giant Samsung is currently working aggressively to fix the camera freezing issue on their latest flagship smartphone.
To make the company aware of the bug with the camera of Galaxy Note 9, many users approached Samsung’s official forums and wrote their complaints regarding the camera freeze issue while taking pictures. Users also informed that apart from camera freezing while taking pictures, the camera even lagged while taking videos on the Galaxy Note 9.
“A moderator on Samsung’s US forums has confirmed that an update is coming out to specifically fix the camera freezing issue,” tech website SamMobile reported late on Thursday.
As per the reports, people having the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset variant of the phone are facing such issues. This particular variant of the phone was made available in the US and other markets by the Samsung.
“Galaxy Note 9 owners in the US have reported that the camera also freezes up in apps that use the camera — it would just throw up a ‘camera failed’ warning,” the report added.
Though Samsung is working on the significant camera issue on its latest model of Note series, there has been no news like till when will the new update will come up regarding the bug. Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 9 in August in 128GB and 512GB variants priced at $999 and $1249 respectively in the US. The phone has a 6.4-inch display and has a 12MP + 12MP dual camera system with dual optical image stabilization (OIS) at the rear. Both the cameras have powerful optical zoom and 10-times powerful digital zoom as well. The phone has an 8MP front shooter too.
