Samsung unveils Galaxy A9 as the first smartphone with four cameras

On Thursday, Samsung revealed a new model to its Galaxy A series as Samsung Galaxy A9. The smartphone has a quadruple primary (rear) camera system; hence it is the first smartphone in the market with four cameras. The prices of the all-new Galaxy A9 will be revealed during the launch of the device in India in November.

Samsung Galaxy A9 has vertically stacked four cameras which consist of 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 24MP main sensor, a 5MP depth sensor and a 10MP telephoto sensor at the back.

Talking about the front part, the smartphone has a 24MP camera. “We’re now introducing cutting-edge technology across all our products and not just the flagships. As a global leader in the smartphone innovation, we understand the demand for innovation in a world driven by visual communication,” DJ Koh, President, and CEO of IT and Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics told our reporters.

Besides this, the smartphone will have features like a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, face recognition support and a 3800mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 technology. With a 6.3-inch full-HD+ sAMOLED display and a 19:9 aspect ratio the phone will be a beauty. A9 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with internal storage of 128GB that is further expandable. The smartphone will be available in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants.

The device is said to be launched in 3 unique colors which are:  Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue, and Bubblegum Pink and it will have a 3D Glass-curved back which will make it more unique.

Talking about the recent releases by Samsung, Galaxy A7 is the latest model in the series which was released by Samsung India last month. The smartphone has triple rear cameras with 24MP main + 5MP live focus + 8MP ultra-wide sensors at the rear and a 24 MP selfie shooter.

The phone is priced at Rs. 23,990 and is available in three colors: blue, black and gold.
